Everything is set for the conduct of the 2008 Tuna Festival in Gensan, the only festival of such kind in the whole world.
Now on its 10th year, this festival has been rated as one of the country's Best Festivals by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines in 2007. It was conceptualized in 1998 by then Gensan Mayor Adelbert Antonino to commemorate the Charter Anniversary of the city and as a means to give focus on the Tuna industry to which Gensan owes much of its economic livelihood.
This year's festival officially starts on August 29 and ends on September 7, two days longer than the usual. For the schedule of activities, CLICK HERE.
